Every morning when I wake up, one of the first things I do is browse through a bunch of quotes I’ve collected from different sources. If asked, I’d generally say the reason I do this is to find inspiration to send my “Quote Of The Day” to the 50+ people who expect (and from what they tell me, enjoy) it each morning. The reality is, it’s a cathartic experience for me. Like a little mental espresso shot to get me geared up to face the challenges of the day. I find a quote that fits my mood, my successes, my aspirations, even my frustrations. And then, I impose it upon my friends and family via mass email (sorry guys, you agreed to this!).
I came across an article today from The Tiny Buddha called “40 Ways To Feel More Alive” and found it as motivating, if not more so, then the quotes I look at to inspire myself each morning. Not that starting a new hobby or planning a dream vacation are such mind-blowing concepts, but it’s always good to have a little reminder of the live-living that awaits you, if you dare try. I suggest reading it tomorrow morning and giving yourself your OWN mental espresso.
